Woman's Hour Craft Prize

Following our highly successful V&A Pop Art in Print exhibition, Chester Visual Arts brought the acclaimed V&A Woman’s Hour Craft Prize exhibition to Chester’s Old Library (30 November 2018 – 16 March 2019)
Chester Visual Arts was proud to present the Woman’s Hour Craft Prize at The Old Library in Chester. The exhibition followed the hugely successful V&A Pop Art in Print exhibition and Liz West’s ‘Our Colour Reflection’ at Chester Cathedral, further cementing the organisation’s ambition to bring great art to Chester.
Showcasing the most innovative and exciting craft practice in the UK today, the V&A exhibition marked the 70th anniversary of BBC Woman’s Hour.
Exhibition tour was organised by the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. The Woman’s Hour Craft Prize was in association with BBC Radio 4 and the Crafts Council.
Artists featured:
Laura Ellen Bacon, Alison Britton, Neil Brownsword, Lin Cheung, Phoebe Cummings, Caren Hartley, Peter Marigold, Celia Pym, Romillly Saumarez Smith, Andrea Walsh, Emma Woffenden and Laura Youngson Coll.
